Acetylcholinesterase and its Kinetics in the Diagnosis of Myocardial Infarction

چکیده
Myocardial Infarction (MI) has been diagnosed on the basis of enzyme assay such as CK-MB, SGOT, LDH and troponin I & troponin T in addition to clinical findings, ECG changes and Echocardiographic changes. In 1 the present study another enzyme AChE has been taken to estimate the damage of myocardium because heart is richly innervated by cholinergic nerves. Along with the study of AChE enzyme kinetics will help to ascertain the salvage of myocardium, which will affect the contractility of myocardium. The CK-MB & SGOT levels were found to be increased in correlation with STelevation in ECG tracings. In the present study the Km was increased from -3 -3 2.76 x 10 M to 4.5 x 10 M. However, the AChE activity was inhibited as the activity is inversely proportion to Km. Enzymatic and Immunogenic Changes of Myocardial Infarction
Diagnosis of myocardial infarction is very important in a patient with chest pain. Chest pain is not always present or it may be from other causes rather than myocardial infarction. Q wave is present in 30] of infarction. ST,T wave changes are present in all myocardial infarctions, but these changes also are present in myocardial ischernia. For these reasons diagnosis of myocardial infarction...
متن کاملComparison of the Clinical Manifestations of Acute Myocardial Infarction in Elderly and Non-elderly Patients Admitted to the Coronary Care Unit of Ayatollah Mousavi Hospital of Zanjan
Background and Objective: Coronary artery disease is the main cause of death in most societies, which is fatal symbol of acute myocardial infarction. Early diagnosis and treatment of this disease is the greatest impact on survival. But the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction has always been a challenge, particularly in elderly patients due to atypical manifestation. Since a large proportio...
متن کاملStudy of the Duration, Outcomes, and Related Factors of Reperfusion Therapy in Patients with ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction
Background and Objective: One of the most important advancements regarding the care of patients with acute myocardial infarction is the administration of anti-coagulation medicines (e.g., streptokinase). However, it must be noticed that this medicine requires rapid and timely administration. Moreover, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) is increasingly used as a method of revascularization...
متن کاملRapid Diagnosis of Acute Myocardial Infarction
To improve the specificity of biochemical markers of myocardial infarction (MI) a method to measure cardiac troponin-I (CTn-I) was developed. CTn-I is a protein unique to cardiac muscle and is released after MI. Consecutive 150 patients admitted to the coronary care unit was studied. Value of CTn-I was determined in all samples. CTn-I concentration in the MI patients group was increased com...
متن کاملAn Aptamer-based Biosensor for Troponin I Detection in Diagnosis of Myocardial Infarction
Background: Acute myocardial infarction (MI) accounts for one third of deaths. Cardiac troponin I (TnI) is a reliable biomarker of cardiac muscle tissue injury and is employed in the early diagnosis of MI.Objectives: In this study, a molecular method is introduced to early diagnosis of MI by rapid detection of TnI.Materials and Methods: The detection method was based on electrochemical aptasens...
